On the 16th March 2012 Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar broke the world record for the most runs scored in test cricket. He is India’s batting supremo. He can also bowl, but is renowned for his batting prowess. In fact, he started for the Indian cricket team at the tender age of 17. Looking back and reflecting at his rise to be one of the most respected batsmen in cricket history, we can safely say that Sachin Tendulkar was born to bat. It is like how Michael Schumacher was born to drive; Rafael Nadal was born to play tennis; Natalie Du Toit was born to swim; Meryl Streep was born to act; Jamie Oliver was born to cook; Adele was born to sing.
