This is how Forbes measures the most powerful People in the World

Forbes Magazine ranks its most powerful people in the world using the following four criteria: 1.power over lots of people, 2. financial resources controlled, 3. whether the person has power in various spheres of life, and 4. whether that person actively uses their power.

So who leads the pack?  President Barack Obama, then German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Russian President Vladimir Putin came in third.

Because of its ranking criteria one less than likely candidate is on the list: Mexican billionaire Joaquin Guzman Loera, alias “El Chapo,” the Sinaloa drug cartel leader who Forbes said is responsible for many of the illegal narcotics entering the United States every year. He was ranked 63rd.

Makes you think doesn’t it?
